Besed on the 2010-2019 Michigan HIV Trends Report, new HIV diagnoses are significantly declining, especially in Detroit and Oakland Counties. Outside of the Detroit Metropolitan Area, an increase in diagnosis of HIV has been observed in People Who Inject Drugs (PWID). Linkage to care timeliness has significantly improved over the past decade, but remains stagnated in recent years. Programs should continue to focus on the protection of Young (15-29 year old) Black/African American Men and People Who Inject Drugs.
