-
Litchfield: the third Thursday of the month at the City of Litchfield offices starting August 21, 2025.
-
Clinic hours will be offered from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
-
Services will be provided inside the Mobile Unit, not in the partner’s building
Appointments can be made by calling 517-437-7395, ext. 398. Walk ins are also welcome.
“The agency is pleased to bring WIC services closer to families who may have difficulty travelling to our Hillsdale County office. We hope that by offering mobile services, the agency will improve the health of families,” says Rebecca Burns, Health Officer.
WIC provides education, support, and supplemental nutrition to pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to age 5. In addition to nutrition benefits and education, the program offers:
-
Breastfeeding Support Peer Counselors who assist breastfeeding moms with emotional support, supplies, and education
-
Monitoring of children’s developmental milestones
-
Referral to additional community services, if needed
Program eligibility is based on Michigan residency and income guidelines. Families receiving Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF may qualify. For example, a family of four may qualify if earning up to $28.59/hour. Grandparents or guardians raising young children may also be eligible.
