Three Rivers Office Impacted by Storms, Services Relocated

Monday March 9, 2026

BHSJ office in Three Rivers significantly damaged by the storms

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency’s location in Three Rivers was significantly damaged by the storms that came through the area on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2026. Assessment of the physical structure is still ongoing, but our agency is working to continue to meet the needs of the community during this time.

We will be relocating our clinical services, WIC, immunizations, STI/HIV treatment and testing, to our location in Sturgis at 1555 E. Chicago Road starting Monday March 9th at 8:00 a.m. If you have an appointment scheduled for this week but are unable to keep that appointment, please call us at 269-273-2161 ext. 201 to reschedule or discuss additional options.

Our Environmental Health services, well and septic permits, food licenses, and inspections, will temporarily relocate to our location in Coldwater at 570 Marshall Road. Online applications can be made with a credit card payment through the portal on our website. A convenience fee is charged for credit card payments. Applications can also be downloaded from our website at www.bhsj.org, Environmental Health tab. Completed applications and check payments can be mailed to 570 Marshall Rd., Coldwater, MI 49036. Call 517-279-9561 ext. 106 if you need assistance or to speak to one of our team members.

“Our hearts go out to the families in our communities who have been impacted by these storms. We are grateful to our Emergency Management staff, first responders, linemen, clean-up crews, and volunteers who again demonstrate the power of community. The loss of property, possessions, and life will require us to come together to support each other in the days and weeks to come.”, says Rebecca Burns, Health Officer. “Please follow the instructions of Emergency Management officials and avoid impacted areas, watch for downed power lines, and follow generator safety guidelines to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.”

The agency will keep the community informed as we go through the rebuilding process.  We are currently seeking a longer-term solution to provide Environmental Health services in St. Joseph County. Once a location has been identified we will notify the community through our media partners and social media pages.

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is committed to promoting wellness, preventing disease, providing health care, and protecting the environment.
