Online Scheduling for COVID-19 Vaccination to Children 6 months to 5 years of age Now Available!

Thursday June 23, 2022

First appointments are available starting Monday, June 27, 2022.

Parents who desire appointments should go to www.bhsj.org/scheduling and select one of the 2 options, “Pediatric Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine – Age 6 months – 5 years” or “Pediatric Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine – Ages 6 months-4 years”. A parent must be present for the child to receive the vaccine.

“Vaccines to protect children 6 months to 5 years of age have received emergency use authorization, and are recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Parents interested in getting their child vaccinated are encouraged to talk to their pediatrician for more information about the COVID-19 vaccine and how to obtain it,” says Dr. Karen Luparello, Medical Director. “Vaccination continues to be an effective strategy to reduce severe illness and prevent death within our communities. Studies are also suggesting that vaccinated individuals may recover sooner and experience fewer “Long Haul COVID” symptoms.”

To schedule a COVID-19 vaccine for any age, primary series dose, or booster dose, go to www.bhsj.org/scheduling or call Your Local Health Department office and press option 7.
